Trident alumni Ed Gutekunst and yours truly have written an amazing original Movie Treatment/ Short Story about three women coming of age in 1974 while working at the Trident. One of them is a Manager named Dagny(?), and the other two are two waitresses named Josie and Chelo. This is a beautiful story about friendship, loyalty, and redemption. Fiction written over real events that took place at the Trident. The summer of 1974. More about The Trident movie to follow… and perchance you’re in touch with Alexander Payne, Ron Howard, Billy Crystal, or George Lucas we’d love to talk to them!

Is there an update on the trident movie or is it possible to get a copy of the short story written about it by Ed Gutkunst?
I have been to Sausalito many times, but missed the golden age of the club.
I'd love to hear the story.
Ken
Hi Ken,
The 30 page short story written Ed and I (Ed's embellishment of a storyline I created - and beautifully done by Ed) momentarily is under wraps while we shop for a Filmmaker with the where with all to make this story a digital/celluloid/film realty. We've shopped it with a Confidentiality Agreement so someone else doesn't take off with our idea. The story is about three women coming of age at the Trident in the mid-seventies. Cheylo, Dagny, and Josie. Cheylo is new to the Trident. Dagny looks out for her well-being, and Josie has seen it all (an understatement). The film is about friendship, loyalty, and redemption. Also, as we realized writing the story, a forewarning to people growing up and exposed to all kinds of temptation. Hence the "coming of age" aspect. Who knows, maybe someday we'll publish it here and see what happens. It's a fun read. And, the typical Happy Ending - after a few trial and tribulations - also, it's funny! All the best, and have an awesome 2017!!!
Mark;
Thanks for the fast reply. In the Cirque du Soleil photo with Robin Williams holding up two other people, who is the woman on top? Was she a waitress at the Trident? She looks like someone I know.
Ken
Hi Ken, I believe her name was Herta? And, my memory isn't what it use to or should be but I believe she worked at the Trident. All the best!
Hi Mark. I'm still around. My hair is almost all the way down my back again. I still laugh about the story of the Hell's Angels and the 49er I told you. I was a runner for Frank Werber so have loads of stories about Ruffin in the Kitchen, Clint Eastwood at the bar, David Crosby in the parking lot, and actor Peter Lawford I believe with the girl in the pick above. Always room to punch up the script with the who's who that visited. I have enjoyed your other videos about Marin.
Hi Thomas,
Would love to hear more stories. Email me at MDLomas@gmail.com and maybe we can create a post on the front page of the website. Let me know how you want credit? Name? Email? Let me know. Love your stories!
All the best!
