Sam Andrew

Sam Houston Andrew III Janis Joplin’s Lead Guitarist

The Trident Sam Houston Andrew III interview 2010. Sam left us in 2015. A really sweet person as you’ll soon see. Some wonderful insights into Janis Joplin, the late 60’s San Francisco scene, and Marin County.  Miss you Sam. Thanks! Sam and I belonged to the Artista Gang created by Grateful Dead artist Alton Kelley. The Artistas (a local gang of Artist in Marin County) had one rule: There are no rules. See ya!

I worked at the Trident from 1974 to 1976 when it was temporarily closed before reopening almost a year later with a new crew & menu. The era covered here is 1966 to 1980 when the Trident was "Magic!" Mark Danforth Lomas 805.845.2888 MDLomas@gmail.com
