TRIDENT LINKS

We’d like to encourage any visitors to this site to actually visit and dine at The Trident in Sausalito.  There’s not a better view of San Francisco from anywhere in the Bay Area. Although some aspects of the building and interior have been updated much is still the same. They did a really nice job. But, more importantly, the food is incredible!

The Trident Restaurant is located at 558 Bridgeway, Sausalito, California  94965 (415) 331-3232) (Currently, due to the Pandemic, the Trident is closed but will reopen sometime in 2021!

The Grateful Dead:  The Grateful Dead  (lot of memories of Jerry and Jiro and Phil Lesh & his friends getting high out on the deck)

Quicksilver Messenger Service:   Quicksilver Messenger Service  Local Marinites that dropped by on occasion for “the show!”

The Jefferson Airplane: The Jefferson Airplane  Marty Balin shared some wonderful Trident stories…

Country Joe and the Fish:  Country Joe McDonald Pictures of Joe and I having lunch at the Trident can found found here…

The Rolling Stones:  The Rolling Stones  the Rolling Stones threw two private parties at the Trident but often dropped by unannounced. I had a pot of English Tea with Ron Woods one afternoon while he waited for Rob Stewart who showed up late with a drop dead beautiful 6 foot+ tall model.  It was the middle of the winter, things were really slow,  and they pretty much had the whole place to themselves.

Pink Floyd:  Pink Floyd   I showed up for work one freezing foggy morning and the restaurant was empty except for a large group of hippies out on the deck under the outdoor heaters. Richard was managing that morning and said to take care of the deck and that was pretty much it. Another slow cold foggy morning. The week before I had gone to the Alhambra Theatre on Geary Street in San Francisco and watched Pink Floyd’s quadrophonic movie that had been set up in surround sound which was a new concept then and a big deal at the time.  So, when I wondered up to their table I almost shit myself when I saw who it was.  Long story short they asked me to join them for brunch and it was way too much fun! Later that night I bought two tickets from a scalper and caught their Wish You Were Here/ Dark Side of the Moon concert.  Best concert ever!

Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks:   Dan Hicks

Pointer Sisters:  Pointer Sisters

Clint Eastwood:  Clint Eastwood

Jason Lewis’s Marin Nostalgia:   MarinNostalgia

Sausalito Historical Society:  Sausalito Historical Society
